Beats & Feets

Beats and Feets (founded by social rep Lucie Bancroft) is an amazing addition to the Run 4 U calendar.

Every month, Run 4 U hosts ‘Beats and Feets’ which is a brilliant community event where members, non-members and friends meet to run to the beat of music in a wonderful setting, mainly Calke Abbey. We are fully inclusive meaning nobody will get left behind with regular re-groups. Running starts at 7pm and is a distance of around 4-6 miles (6-10k), pre-determined and sent out in advance.

Tickets are booked via eventbrite for free. We would love everyone who attends to eventually be able to see Run 4 U as part of them and become members which has all the England Athletics benefits as well as being a part this wonderful club.

What. A. Night!
Last night marked the incredible launch of our brand-new Beats & Feets social runβ€”and wow, what a debut it was!

We set off on a vibrant 10k route around the stunning Calke Abbey, powered by a high-energy dance playlist that gave us all the Friday feels. The vibes were electric, the atmosphere buzzing, and the turnout? Absolutely amazing for a first night!

Blessed with more gorgeous summer sun this Beats and Feets did not disappoint. We had a fabulous route set out with some bike leads for runners and regular re-groups. Everyone had an amazing time, making new friends and really finding something to be a part of. This time the music was the awesome 80s. What will it be next time?

BEATS AND FEETS DOES ‘PARTY ON THE TRACK’

Very proud to support this incredible and innovative event! Run4U are breaking the mold with this event, it was a huge success and everyone had a blast!

There was a live DJ, a coached warm up, 5k time trial, raffle prizes and of course cake! 🀀

By Philip Dutton at Running Form

Huge thanks and appreciation to the following for the donations for raffle prizes and support on the evening:

Running Form (gift vouchers), Physio Form (gift vouchers), BluntsBakery (cookies), Jake Flint (photos), MT sports therapy (massages), Amy Lowe (massage voucher), Run 4 U & Perform coaching (training plan voucher), Branston Golf Club (Adventure golf and padel vouchers), Bannatynes Heath Club (passes), Chris @ Primal (PT Coaching), Ross / DJ Rosco (music).

This event was our inaugural track event. Runners from all around the community came to receive a top notch evening filled with incredible tunes as they did warm up activities and team events and a timed 5k event where many gained new PBs. For some runners, this was the first time on the track and for some it was the furthest distance they had ran. Runners clocked 17 minutes all the way to 45 mins something! A true display of inclusivity. With the help of donations and spectacular organisation from the Run 4 U social committee and Run 4 U club committee we raised in excess of Β£400 for charity and club improvement. Just as importantly, everyone had an amazing time.

Beats and Feets does Halloween

The day was wet and cold but the sky’s cleared just in time for a spooky Halloween run through Calke Abbey πŸ‘»

Spirits were high as runners dressed in all sorts of costumes to make this a very spooktacular run.

The most memorable and spookiest thing ever from the Beats and Feets was when running through the night sky and a filed being lit up by a thousand eyes πŸ„πŸ„πŸ„πŸ„πŸ‘ A great time was had by all.
