It is almost 12 months since I started having coaching from Abbey and am really enjoying it. I am feeling strong and good in my body and in my running again and most importantly I am enjoying it!
I am a mature/post menopausal athletic woman who loves running and occasionally dips a toe into triathlon.
I approached Abbey for coaching after a recommendation from a friend as I wanted to see if I could tweak my times down to pre COVID. And I’m definitely getting there.
Abbey sets an individually tailored programme each week which is stretching but enjoyable. She encourages feedback (“more is more”) and adjusts training accordingly. She is so supportive and encouraging with a down to earth good humoured approach based on her own experience as a professional high achieving athlete, coach, physio and Mum juggling professional life alongside her passion for running – so she “gets it” when life sometimes gets in the way.
With her coaching comes automatic membership of her Run4uandperform run group which meets once a week. You can dip in and out as much or little as you wish.
Abbey celebrates everyone’s successes – whether you are one of the young, super talented athletes winning events or like me – a runner with different goals. Everyone is warmly welcomed and the group is very friendly and supportive.
